This is for you if:
You are looking for a therapeutic team building activity, and a treat for the staff at your organisation
You are a community organisation who want to make massage therapy accessible to the people you support
You want to help yourself, or your partner, friends and family to reduce back pain & stress

How does it work?
Funded sessions are available in July, August & September 2022 as part of a series: each individual or group has 2 separate sessions approximately 1 month apart.
Attendees will be asked to complete an anonymous survey before and after the sessions.
The workshop starts with a self care focus to warm up. DIY massage techniques to target shoulder tension will be demonstrated, then participants get to practice these. These involve using everyday items like tennis balls to roll out tightness.
We then move on to learning Acupressure Massage. This is a simplified form of massage, carried out over clothing, which relieves stress and back tension.
It’s simple to do, really firm and feels great. Whats more, no specialist equipment is required, so participants can carry out this treatment at home.
In the session you watch a demonstration, then each person gets to both practice and receive the routine. At the end of the session you will know how to carry out an effective home treatment, and will have received a massage in the process. Participation in the massage lesson is completely optional and attendees are welcome to watch & learn, although joining in is much more fun!

”I joined a massage tutorial workshop at Levenshulme Old Library’s Community day and Devon was wonderful! She was super friendly and explained and demonstrated the different massage techniques really clearly, so that we all felt confident having a go. I really enjoyed it and felt super relaxed after! Thanks so much!”
