How does it work?
The workshop starts with a Self Care focus to warm up. DIY massage techniques to target shoulder tension will be demonstrated, then participants get to practice these.
We then move on to learning Acupressure Massage. This is a simplified form of massage, carried out through clothing, which relieves stress and back tension.
It’s simple to do, really firm and feels great. Whats more, no specialist equipment is required, so participants can carry out this treatment at home.
In the session you watch a demonstration, then each person gets to both practice and receive the routine. At the end of the session you will know how to carry out an effective home treatment, and will have received a massage in the process.
For charity and community organisations in Manchester: I have received funding to run these workshops. Please get in touch to ask about booking some sessions.
For corporate companies: Please get in touch to discuss.
”I joined a massage tutorial workshop at Levenshulme Old Library’s Community day and Devon was wonderful! She was super friendly and explained and demonstrated the different massage techniques really clearly, so that we all felt confident having a go. I really enjoyed it and felt super relaxed after! Thanks so much!”Jenny Pilkinton, Signpost for Carers
